"SWEET" SEAN EHRGOTT

Second...To NONE!

Florida Wrestling Alliance/ CCW

Sean Ehrgott first trained in 1997 after graduating college under Cliff Anderson(of the Anderson family) and his "School of Hard Knox". After "graduating", Anderson dubbed him "Sweet" Sean. His first match was on his 23rd Birthday against another student from the school, know as the "Janitor".

After that, "Sweet" Sean Ehrgott started a sucessfull career in Florida Wrestling Alliance. It was around the same time the promoter of an upstart company, Coastal Championship Wrestling, was feuding with the promoter of FWA. Talent would no longer be exchanged, but not before Ehrgott started a real life feud with another student he trained with, Jamie Howard (Now known in the WWE as Jamie Noble). During the peak of Ehrgott's carreer in the FWA, he defeated "Legit" Jamie Howard for the Lt. Heavyweight Title in a ladder match. Afterwards, Jamie Howard had a good run in CCW, never returning to the FWA.

After almost a year in FWA touring through Florida, Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee & Japan; Ehrgott left for a new promotion known as IWA.

IWA - "Sweet" Sean becomes "Mr. Sexy"

In the IWA, Ehrgott rose through the ranks quickly, using his Skills, Looks, Flash & Flair. In a federation of "typical" Florida wrestlers, Ehrgott shown through them all. It was at this time that a little known fact of Sean Ehrgott being the cousin of HBK Shawn Michaels came to public knowledge. Something he had kept secret for a few reasons.

One because his old trainer, Cliff Anderson, was also the man who trained "Rockin" Ronnie. The same man that "The Rockers" Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty accidently caused the death of in the ring. During court hearings, it was apparent there was bad blood between Michaels and Anderson.

The second reason was because he didn't want to be known for being someone's relative, he wanted to be known for his own success and accomplishments. He didn't want to live in a shadow of someone who, at the time, was accomplishing so much.

And so, Ehrgott accomplished so much as well. He persevered. He adopted the phrase "Second 2 None" in hopes that people would forget he's Shawn Michaels' cousin, trying to prove he wasn't a second-rate HBK. As he quickly rose through the ranks of the IWA, he met some friends there. One of them was the Red Dragon. These two are so much alike, with very similar fighting styles. They formed a pretty good partnership and even captured the IWA Tag Team Titles together.

Another was All Smoothness. A cocky, arrogant kid. He turned Ehrgott towards cheating and rule-breaking. It was at this time a really cocky "Sweet" Sean Ehrgott personality came out, claiming to be better(and better looking) then everyone else, and using a new moniker of "Mr. Sexy". Ehrgott and All Smoothness were inseperable. Together, they wound up wearing the IWA Tag Team Titles. Seperately, they... well... they were never really seperate. They both helped each other obtain victory after victory. When the Red Dragon captured the IWA Title, Ehrgott started a fued with his long time friend, trying to capture the gold. Midway into the feud, Ehrgott finally got his title shot. Even with help from All Smoothness, Ehrgott couldn't pull it off, and met defeat by the Red Dragon. It wasn't long after, the Red Dragon left the Federation with the title. He jumped ship to the VWF, and threw the IWA Championship in the trash!

With the IWA Championship vacant, now was the time for "Sweet" Sean to strike. And strike he did. When the Tournament was over, with the help of All Smoothness, Ehrgott was the new IWA Champion.

After obtaining the Championship, Ehrgott promised the world he would hold onto it forever. After a successful run as Champion, he actually stood true to his word...by leaving the IWA with the Title. He still remains an undefeated IWA Champion to this day, having never been defeated for it. Apparently, he believed "jumping ship" with the Title counted in fulfilling his promise!

"Sweet" Sean joins the VWF

Sean Ehrgott came into the VWF in 1999 wearing the IWA Championship belt. Unlike the Red Dragon, he didn't throw the belt into the trash. Instead, he arrogantly walked around claiming he was the "real" champion. Still going by the moniker of "Mr. Sexy" and using his cousin, Shawn Michaels' fame, him & his compatriot All Smoothness went straight after the VWF Gold. Tired of being compared to and living in the shadow of HBK,  Sean Ehrgott constantly claimed he was "Second 2 None!" Numerous times he attempted to get title shots against then champion, Eddie Severn. With the help of All Smoothness, he was able to interfere in enough matches between Severn and his then feuding rival, the Widowmaker from the defunct "Bones Brigade". The Severn-Widowmaker feud was put on hold as Ehrgott recieved a title shot, claiming that he would "unify" the titles, even though the IWA Title meant nothing in the VWF (and rumor has it, was recrowned in the IWA). Ehrgott almost defeated Severn in a Thrilling match, but in an attempt to help Ehrgott win by cheating, All Smoothness, instead, cost him the match. Ehrgott brought All Smothness into the ring and proceeded to berrate and abuse him for the loss. All Smoothness struck Ehrgott as he was leaving, and continued to attack him while he was down. At that moment, the Rude Boy arrived and helped, as well as the rest of the "Rude Crue" (T.C. Kid & R.R.R.).  After the beating, All Smoothness partook in giving Ehrgott "the Crue Cut-ter" (Team Finisher) and shook hands with Rude Boy, joining the group. After the Ehrgott-All Smoothness feud began, Ehrgott captured the VWF Intercontinental Title, only to lose it to All Smoothness himself. He looked elsewhere for help after all the outnumbered beatdowns...

And he found it in his old rival,  Eddie Severn!

Ehrgott & Severn defeated All Smoothness & Rude Boy in a Tag match, and Ehrgott thought he was finally done with his old partner. After the match, the two blamed R.R.R. for their loss and started to vebally assault him. R.R. Roberts attacked them both and officially left the group. After their successful partnership, Ehrgott & Severn decided to keep it up, and even captured the Tag Team Titles. They were then approached by Widowmaker, who convinced all three to become a unit.

The "Cult Of Personality" was Born!

Ehrgott had dropped the "Mr. Sexy" tag line, and once again became "Sweet" Sean.  Severn became "Fast" Eddie, and Widowmaker became "Dirty" Deejay. At first, the group headed for the darkside, "Breaking Rules & Blasting Fools". It was at this point they acquired "Rugged" 'Rowdy' Roberts as a forth member. No longer dubbing themselves the "Tri-State Triple Threat",  they became an Awesome Foursome. They even changed their hand signal (Four Horseman minus a finger-into-2 connected 'I love yous'). As they gained popularity, they slowly stopped being so destructive and stopped breaking rules to win. In the C.O.P., Sean Ehrgott gained another Tag Title reign with "Fast" Eddie, and one with "Dirty" Deejay. After winning a tournament for a title shot, Ehrgott went on to face his best friend, Severn, for the VWF Title.  Ehrgott won in a fair, friendly contest. Unfortunately, his fued with All Smoothness and the "Rude Crue" was still active.

When All Smoothness suffered an injury, due to an accident from Rude Boy's interference in a match, he had to be replaced for his title match against Ehrgott. Replaced BY Rude Boy! With the help of T.C. Kid and a hobble-ing All Smoothness, Ehrgott lost the VWF Title to Rude Boy.

Ehrgott went on with the C.O.P., still being a force to be reckoned with. The C.O.P. then became members of DeGeneration X on the Indys circuit, which made their popularity grow even more, just as DX's popularity was growing across the world. Being born "Gen X-ers", it only made sense. Ehrgott then gained another Tag Title reign with fellow member "Rugged" 'Rowdy' Roberts. As the C.O.P.'s popularity started to dwindle, the group started to go their seperate ways, not needing "back-up" anymore. After dropping their "D/X" affiliation and just before the group finally disbanded, Ehrgott gained the VWF Intercontinental Title one more time.

For the past five years the VWF was on and off again, and has been on hold the past couple of years re-grouping.

During time away from the VWF in 2002, Ehrgott spent some time in the pWa (Pagano's Wrestling Alliance). He captured the Intercontinental Title immediately, only to lose it two months later to resident bad boy, Stephan Lis. These two feuded for a little while, until Ehrgott finally quit the Federation.

Now, of course, he's back in the VWF!

"Sweet" Sean Ehrgott claims, "Nothing will stand in my way from being champion again! NOTHING!"

Let's see if this is true! Let's see if he IS "SECOND 2 NONE!"

INSERTS

During his time in the VWF, Sean Ehrgott also wrestled for the WWF(not E) on house shows & "dark matches" whenever they are touring nearby.

Once in 1999, "Fast" Eddie Severn & "Sweet" Sean Ehrgott faced the Hardy Boyz in a dark match. (before they were ever Tag Team Champs, when they looked like a new form of the "Rockers").

In 2002, "Sweet" Sean Ehrgott worked on a show promoted by legendary trainer Johnny Rodz. On this show he worked against both Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka AND Tito Santanna.

Also in 2002, "Sweet" Sean faced against Billy Kidman on a RAW dark match. This gained him a 1 year developmental contract with the WWF. After a few months, Ehrgott declined any further pursuit of his contract, instead wanting to spend time starting his new family.
